As a teacher there is a most magnificent moment, at least it is for me. A student has been struggling with some aspect of the art. Let's say the ukemi. Day in and out, class in and out you've watched his or her difficulties with the ukemi. You have tried several ways to teach it. But somehow he or she doesn't get it. Then unexpectedly in a moment, an instruction made sense and there he/she is rolling like a pro ... That happened yesterday during our Saturday class... two of our students - an adult and a boy - suddenly started doing the forward roll impeccably... I realized once more why I am a teacher and it was wonderful.
